the simpsons is my favorite tv show of all time. currently in its 14th season, it has highly influenced me. this is their official site, where you can explore springfield, read all about the cast, and search through all the show's archives. mmm....archives.
wilco is one of my favorite bands of all time. check out their official site for band information, tour dates, and cd releases. check out their latest--yankee hotel foxtrot.
manatees are my favorite animal, i even have a "save the manatee" license plate. sadly, they are at risk of extinction. go to this site to learn all about our aquatic friends, how to donate, and where to visit them (there's a manatee sanctuary in naples). you can also adopt a manatee.
i am a big fan of the arnold clan. who can forget all of kevin's late 60s-early 70s teenage tribulations. go here to relive all the memories again.
in that same vein, i also loved the keaton household of the 80s. recently, nick at nite has gloriously re-run all of the old episodes. alex p. keaton is like a mentor. go here for all the info about this unforgettable show.
many of my days as a youngster in california were spent at the world-famous san diego zoo. this site provides tons of info about the zoo, the world's largest. also gives good information about the wild animal park, another animal fun destination.
another great san diego destination is balboa park, adjacent to the san diego zoo. it is a huge park with a large arboretum (above), museums, art galleries, and other miscellaneous cultural fun. my parents were married here in 1980.
i met laci in newswriting class the beginning of junior year. we quickly became friends and we keep each other sane in class.. she is crazy, though.

another one of my favorite bands is weezer. i was lucky enough to attend one of their concerts in february last year in Raleigh and it was great.
in you are down the naples way, i suggest visiting caribbean gardens. the best part are the alligators(it is florida after all) and the primate cruise to explore islands of monkeys, lemurs, and other primate friends.
another great place to visit is 5th avenue in naples, a trendy but fun stretch of shops, art galleries, and resturants really close to the beaches.
i really like the beaches in marco island, really close to naples. it is relatively secluded but still fun and has lots of restuarants and shops to complete your beach experience.
one of my favorite places is georgetown in washington, d.c. i like the mix of the old town streets and lush neighborhoods. i want to live there one day.
i love all of the museums in d.c. but one of the best is the natural history museum. i like the dinosaurs and animal collections.
