Who is this weirdo?
  • Here's a dorky picture that my friend Ryan took. I dyed my hair and his... it's a frequently-indulged hobby! To see what OTHER assorted colors my hair has been or to learn about hair dyeing in general, go here.
  • I work for Red Hat, Inc. I'm a webmonkey/graphic designer hybrid (mostly monkey!), but it's a pretty fun place to be.
  • I'm an alum of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • , class of 1998. I'm still somewhat involved with my college fraternity... Delta Psi Xi, otherwise known as Saint Anthony Hall, the co-ed art, literary, music and social fraternity at UNC-Chapel Hill.
  • My parents and younger brother still live in Garner, N.C., the small redneck town I grew up in.
  • I used work at the Office Formerly Known As SunSITE, UNC's very own MetaLab.
  • When I first got out of school, I spent a year doing some consulting, for folks like FGI, Inc. and UNC's Academic Technology Network, Dark Canvas, and Baby & More.
  • In my free time (hah!), I occasionally take on freelance design clients. I've done a few sets of logos and marks for various folks. If you're interested in that sort of stuff, send me some mail.

My favorite colors are eggplant, blood red, dark forest green and BLACK. Lots of black.

I wear lots of black. My mother doesn't like it, but I do. Some people would call me goth, but I tend not to believe them. To see a picture from a habitat of yore (it was taken inside a dark dance club), go here.

My personality type (as determined by The Keirsey Temperament Sorter) is XSTJ, a combination between ESTJ and ISTJ. Obviously I can't decide whether I want to be bossy or shy. Go figure.

The ISTJ profile seems to fit best. A few appropriate comments from the ISTJ profile:

"ISTJs often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold."

"ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments. But they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact."

Eeyore was an ISTJ. How appropriate.

As for music, I'm in a Pink Floyd phase right now. I still like Marilyn Manson and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Mephiskapheles, but currently I've entered a quieter phase.

I, of course, still love the Cure. A LOT. I mean, an AWFUL lot. Just ask my friends and co-workers. I have a huge poster of Robert Smith in my living room. Really.

If you want to see pictures of me or people that I associate with, go here. This is the old version of the photo album. Sometime, I'll combine the two. Sometime.

Platoon is my favorite non-RHPS movie. Roger Waters'/Pink Floyd's The Wall is the current second-runner.

If there's anything else you're just dying to know... email me and ask.

I might even answer.
