The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was a 4-day cruise on the Mexican Riviera aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines M.S.S. Fascination. We decided to drive to Miami, which extended our honeymoon 3 days. We made stops in historic Savannah, GA and the historic Art Deco neighbourhood of Miami Beach, FL.

Day 1: Chapel Hill, NC to Savannah, GA

Day 5: Cozymel, Mexico
Our ship docked in Cozymel, but we immediately went on a tour of the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum, which included a boat ride to the mainland (Playa del Carmen) and a bus ride to Tulum. After coming back to Cozymel, we had a little time to walk up and down the vista and shop around. At the end of the evening a taxi gave us a ride back to the ship and we were on our way back to the U.S. That night we had our first "formal" dinner.

Day 6: Day at sea
This was our last full day on the ship. There was a talent show organized in the evening and I had the great honor of playing in my first lounge. I played one of my own compositions and got a certificate and a little trophey with the shape of our ship. There were 6 acts.
