Other Bright Colors released a single and an album during their short existence in the 1980's. The single was an absolute classic and it won the band a lot of attention. The album was great also, and it was produced by Mitch Easter. Brian refers to his travels in Proto-Mind Sirens OBC as "The Chitlin Circuit." There were endless shows at fraternities and bars in all of the larger and smaller corners of the south.
Recently, Brian gave me an old itinerary for one of their tours. Unfortunately, I don't know what year this is from...it does, however, list (in Brian's sqiggly handwriting) the amount of money the band was guaranteed at each show. Joe Jaworkski (who sits in the middle in the photo above) was instrumental in booking all of these shows. |
