From Ross Grady's
alt.music.chapel-hill Guide to the Triangle site:
Mind Sirens are rapidly becoming the longest-continually-running
band in Triangle history. Depends on whether you count the Bad
Checks or not, I guess. In any case, in terms of sheer sonic goodness,
I have to give the point to Mind Sirens. They employ washes of
squalling, ringing [slightly frightening] guitars to make "pop" music
that sticks with you partly because it's "catchy," and partly because
it triggers a sort of creepy subconscious unease. When they make
the movie about my life, and my character reaches that Kafka-esque
point of no return, the one where you suddenly realize that nothing
will be quite the same ever again, I want the Mind Sirens playing on
the soundtrack.
