My name is Besir Ceka and I am a fourth year PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Broadly speaking, my research focuses on European politics. I am particularly interested in studying political participation, political competition and democratization.

During the the fall semester of 2011, I will be teaching a course on European integration at the University of Bern, Switzerland.

I received my BA from Bates College in 2008. In my free time, I ride motorcycles, play soccer, and travel.
