frost flowers & leaves

pattern: frost flowers & leaves shawl from a gathering of lace

yarn: jaggerspun zephyr

color: ruby

needles: US 2 bamboo dpns to start, then switch to US 2 inox 29" circulars

size: a little over 4 feet square

time to knit: 5 months

dates & details: started on 5-21-06. it's a tiny square living on 4 tiny sticks. update! it's a tiny circle living on a circular needle. update update! it's getting too big for the 29" circular
8-8: i've just passed the 50% mark! at this rate, i'll have a new shawl by oh, late october.
8-10: finished repeat 5 of 7 on chart 2 (the main chart)
9-21: finished chart 3!
10-12: i'm 2/3 of the way through the 2nd quarter of the edging. this part is taking forever! guess it doesn't help that i've been out of town a lot, and this shawl does not make for great family function knitting.
10-27: finished the edging
10-28: grafted the edging (this was slightly scary. i have no idea how to graft lace). just need to block!!!
