viking cardi

yarn: jaeger luxury tweed (65% merino, 35% alpaca)
color: red ink
needles: bamboo circular, US 5 & addi turbo, US 3 for the ribbing.
details: this self-designed cardigan uses 2 cable motifs from elsebeth lavold's viking knits book. i've been longing for an asymmetrical cabled cardigan, and this is the attempt.
status: 2 sleeves completed (in actuality 3 - the first was too long and the spacing between the cables didn't fall quite right. plus, i discovered the tubular cast-on late into the sleeve.) i've worked the smaller of the fronts up to the neck shaping, and am nearing the neck of the large front.
status update, 9-4: i've cast on for the back
status update, 9-25: i'm up a bit past the armholes of the back piece
status update, 11-8: 1.5 buttonbands knit. need to buy buttons, figure out buttonhole size, and finish the last band off. both sleeves have been set in, and only one sleeve and one side seam remain.
