I have taught INLS261 (formerly numbered as 050) and INLS461 (formerly numbered as 102), Tools for Information Literacy, numerous times since my first class in the fall of 2000. The SILS catalog describes INLS261 as:
Tools and concepts for information literacy. Includes microcomputer software use and maintenance, microcomputer applications, and networked information systems.
It describes INLS461 as:
Tools and concepts for information literacy: client-server relationships, Web and internet standards (including open-source), underlying structure and use of specific software.
