Sedona
Pimps by genetics or pride,
gift shops and scenic tours
ruin the red monoliths of Sedona,
sold in New Age necklaces turning
turquoise death amulets of sacrificed
skeletons of yesterday's rituals of existence,
from the Great Wall to the Tibetan trails
from the ruins of Inca to polar caps,
some voodoo genetic variance,
the defect of creatures with cognition,
the compulsion to defecate on our own nuclei.
