Last Week's Question - - As many of you know, North Carolina and many other parts of the country are suffering from the worst drought in 200 years. If replenishing rains don't come soon, society is going to have to make some drastic changes so we can all survive (i.e. at UNC they are threaten to turn off the water and give us portable pee pee houses). Hypothetically, let's say the rains don't come and we all have to adapt. What kind of changes do you envision for a water-desperate society?

Your Answers -
Julie S. - My answer to the drought situation:
Here's what I see for the drought plagued future:
-no water needed toothpaste (that idea really scares me - then how are we going to look like we're
rabies infected?)
-no rinse shampoo, conditioner and soap - showers will be outlawed
-Coke or Pepsi in all the water fountains
-the dirty SUV look will become popular for GEO metros
-we'll have to eat off paper plates with our hands
-we'll learn to like the taste of salt water (fresh from your nearest ocean)
-owning fish as pets will become illegal
-the sport of golf will go "underground" (to hide their unnecessary use of water for their green grass)
-swimming pools and fountains will be turned into storage facilities for the government
(wow, your dedication and attention to detail and thought in answering this question is commendable…and makes up for the lack of other answers for this week…..your brother and editor)
Justin S. - I envision dreadlocks becoming the norm and people will sit and fondly remember the days when life was good, simple, and how $1.49 could buy a whole bottle of water. And since Julie has already said everything else on my mind, I'm done.
(good use of sibling tag team….yourself)

This Week's Question - I was walking through the quad yesterday and heard a squirrel squeaking high in a tree. As I continued to walk farther down the path, I noticed numerous squirrels crying out in their funny psycho barks. This squirrel lamentation lasted for a large part of campus and I thought, "The squirrels must be mourning or celebrating or trying to warn us humans." Other then a predatory announcement, what do you think the squirrels were bemoaning about? .
