Last Week's Question - July 4th. Independence Day, patriotism, the Stars and Stripes. For a long time Americans have been proud of the flag, but an interesting trend has been to slap the flag on everything from stickers to bathing suits. Is this taking patriotism to new heights or to new lows? Is the flag significant or hollow? (Could there be a middle ground? Of course...but that's too boring to put into a question.)

Your Answers -

Adouda A - Dear editor,

I think the flag deserves a special respect.

I feel sad to see it used for napkins and swimsuits.

And I don't see how using the flag everywhere would enhance our patriotism. When we love our country we serve it with love and justice.

This Week's Question (from Ian P) - What happens when you spray a bug with "bug repellent"? Does he spiral into a period of self-loathing and depression? How long could such an effect last for? Would taking a bath help?
