Last Week's Question - A paint company has the slogan "Cover the Earth", followed by a picture of the globe being covered by red paint. What kind of slogan is that? It hardly seems environmentally friendly. Or maybe it's something even more subversive, such as a Socialist organization that is using the paint store as a front?

Elizabeth C - Clearly the CEO of this alleged paint company is clinging to our nation's Puritan roots. In his conservative mindframe, the earth's "nakedness" is a deplorable sin, and thus he has devoted his life's work to "covering the earth" and thereby saving it from shame. But like any good Puritan, he has chosen to use RED paint in doing so, which serves as a constant reminder of the rampant evil throughout the globe. Think Scarlet Letter meets Dutch Boy.
Arun W - whoa whoa whoa, hold on. are you saying they want the world covered in red? this is an outrage!!! those commie bastards!!! raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! oh, wait, OR!!! they're just HUGE NCSU fans! yeah! that's it! GO PACK!! woooooooooo! yeah, word up. cover the earth, maybe they mean like, with a green house type thing, but instead of green, they want it red. that's kinda environmental. with the emphasis on "mental". or is that "metal"? yeah, either way, i think they're kinda weird, well, except for the whole wolfpack fan thing...
Lori W - Hmmm…anti-environmental??? Communist propaganda??? Sounds like the editor’s a bit paranoid, eh? What’s wrong with adding a little more color to the world? All those natural greens and browns can get a bit boring after a while. And there’s nothing wrong with being a Red.

This Week's Question - Is it really appropriate for a Duke to demand a nun-to-be's hand in marriage after rescuing her brother from the gallows? Remember, she's been propositioned by the Duke's brother, had to deal with her own brother's 'sin', imprisonment, and then supposed death. Now she's to marry on top of this? Confused?...me too.
