I am a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My primary research interests are in macroeconomics and monetary theory and policy. I also have interestes in finance and banking and particularly where these topics overlap with monetary policy. In my dissertation, I examine the influence of the banking system in the monetary policy transmission mechanism. I expect to defend my dissertation by May of 2011. I am on the 2010-2011 job market and will attend the January AEA meetings in Denver.
