This is a picture of me and two of my favorite people in the world, Olga and Sara.

My name is Bailey Newkirk and I am senior in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am scheduled to graduate in May of 2004.

My sequence within the journalism school is public relations and I hope to some day do media relations for collegiate or professional sports. I also have a concentratrion in sociology as I feel it is an important issue to understand while working in a field that deals primarily with the public.

I love to travel, and have no problems moving and adjusting to new situations. Overall, my favorite place in the United State is New York City; I love the excitement and pace of it all. I have also been blessed enough to have been able to travel the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cancun, Germany, and Puerto Rico.

This is my roomate of 3 years Sally Buckley. She is also a student in the UNC-CH school of Journalism and Mass Communication studying advertising. We really only disagree on one thing: baseball. I am a diehard New York Yankees fan and she likes the Boston Red Sox.

Here is a picture of me and my boyfriend Nick. We have been friends since high school, but only started dating after being at college together. Unfortunately, he is a Philadelphia Eagles fan and I a New York Giants fan. As you can image, football season can cause some tension between us.

This is a picture of my little sister Reed Alexis after playing dress up with me. She is 3 years old and already a devoted Tar Heel fan. My family is actually expecting another child in May of 2004, making me the oldest of three.
