My name is Ama Boaten and below are 5 of my favourite links and their descriptions.

I listen to npr radio station a lot because I like their in depth news coverage. When I miss the radio news in the morning, I always go to npr.com in between classes to catch up on the news. NPR is a public radio station that is affiliated with UNC--CH. They cover global news, thus, I get indepth coverage on events on Africa. I also like programs like "Fresh Air", "The People's Pharmacy" and "All Things Considered". I also like their classical music.

I am from Ghana and I like to keep up with news from my home country. From time to time, I go the site above to get informed. This site gives information that includes news events, computer networking in Ghana, interesting sites, developments, and the exchange rate of the Cedi with the dollar and the pound.

The British Broadcasting Corporation's website is a favourite link because of their indepth coverage of news events throughout the world. The BBC seems to have correspondents all over the world and this undoutedly, enriches their coverage of news in different countries. Also, I grew up listening to the BBC so it is just natural that I go the BBC website from time to time to get informed.

This is an educational website and it includes an encyclopaedia to help search for information. This website gives information on American history. Topics include the American Civil War, The Civil Rights Movement, Emancipation of Women, USA 1840-1960 and The Vietnam War. The Website also has a school net link that allows people to search on different topics to learn.

This website shows a variety of African crafts and their designers. It portrays the culture of Africa and gives lessons on how these African crafts are made. The website also give the opportunity for people to try to make the famous Kente Cloth from Ghana. Very interesting and educative website.
