Personal Information -

What comes to mind when I think back on my life? So, so many things that I don't even know where and how to start. Well, I guess I won't torture you and will just give you the short version.

I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on May 31st, 1983 and right after that so was my twin -- Maria.

A short while after that I was seven years old.

A very short while after that I was eight, and my life took its first major turn... that's when my parents decided to take us on a three-year-long trip to Dublin, Ireland. Lovely place, Dublin is. Rather homogenous in terms of race and ethnicity, but even so it's a lovely place. I have only good memories of my childhood there... I wore a uniform at school, complete with button shirt, tie, and pleaded skirt. Everyone wore these year-round since the weather there tends not to fluctuate too much. I guess it's a lovely place for those who crave a monotonous wardrobe. What else? I was forced to learn English and date little boys with red hair and freckles... It was nice.

Then I was 12 years old, and we returned to Sofia, Bulgaria… very misfortunate time for the first year or so since I was put in the 5th grade, but had the language ability of a 1st grader… it's OK, I got well-trained in memorizing scientific passages without having a clue what they were about. Stayed in Bulgaria for the next 4 years, got good at the language again, made good friends, went to nice schools - one of them being the German Language High School in Sofia - where I had the ambition of picking up a third language.

However, those were times when the economy in Bulgaria was rather shitty, and when my parents refused to double my pocket money every two weeks to keep up with the ridiculous inflation, we decided now would be a good time to move… It was lovely of my parents to sit us down and give us a chance to vote on whether we fancied going to Australia or America next... We took the vote and off to the US it was.

That was 6 years ago… By now I've gotten used to the American accent, the American infatuation with food, cars, tv and sports, (hehe) and am settling in quite nicely. I go to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and am majoring in Computer Science.
