I don't want a Global Brain

(To the tune of If I Only Had a Brain)

(For danbri. It's all his fault.)

I could while away the hours,
Prologging with some glowers
Consultin' with the rain. Consultin' Con con consulting consultin' <error: this operation completed successfully>
And my head I'd be scratchin' while
CWM built-in's Sean's all a-patching, but
I don't want a Global Brain
I'd fear that it would diddle
With privacy individ'le,
For Microsofty gain.

In my 'puter it'd be snooping
On my credit line a-pooping
I don't want a Global Brain.

Oh, I could tell you why
The Semantic Web'll be a bore.
It could never think of things
We never thunk before.
And then I'd sit, and have to wait some more.
I don't want promised vapor
Hyped in every business paper
Forcing me to complain.
I would dance and be merry,
Life would be a ding-a-derry,
Without talk of Global Brains.

Gosh, it would be awful pleas'n
To reason out the reason
For goals I just distain.
Then perhaps I'll be writin'
Articles over-excitin'
About the Global Brain!
