In this day and age,
the web is an invaluable resource for information on an infinite number
of topics. Here is a glimpse at some of my favorite sites...
CNN.com
provides reliable minute-to-minute coverage of breaking US and international
news. It's great for a quick headline check or for more in-depth reading.
It is also linked to the online TIME magazine site as well as the Sports
Illustrated site...
Google.com
is a search engine started in 1998. It's name is a play on the word "googol"
which refers to a number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros. This is
representative of the company's mission to organize the infinite amount
of information available on the web. Google is a great resource for searching
for newsworthy information...
Charleston.com
provides pages and pages of information about Charleston, SC. The home page
announces upcoming events and has links to local businesses, hotel and restaurant
listings, photographs of the city, tourist information, and much more...
The
UNC-CH website is full of information about Carolina. It is hard to believe
I only have one year left to enjoy everything it has to offer, but I suppose
I'll always be going to Carolina in my mind...
ACLU Online Community is an online
forum for anyone interested in exercising free speech rights. The ACLU
home page gives detailed and reliable information on any and every civil
liberties issue...
