Tom Carsey's Research Page
My research focuses on the process of representation in American politics and public policy. I am particularly interested in how political elites and citizens interact within the institutions that structure the representation process. This has led me to study such things as voting behavior, state politics, congress, political parties, and racial politics. I also study and teach research methods and statistics.
