Ah, the first day of school. I remember it like it was yesterday.
That's me with the Bert and Ernie Sesame Street lunch box, waiting
to embark on a 18-year love affair with learning.
If only I knew what I was getting into. At least I was right about
one thing going in. Lunch is definitely the best part of the day.

This is a picture of me with my mom, taken sometime last year.
I can't remember where we were going or what the occasion was, but
I can only assume that since I was wearing a tie it must have been
important.
My parents have always been very supportive of me in everything that
I do. Even when I told them about my plans to leave school and join
the circus. Wait a minute, I was saving that news for after graduation. |

This is a picture of my bible study,
together since our freshman year at Hinton James. This is an older
picture, and two of our members have since graduated.
Living on South Campus is kind of like going to war together. You
complain about it while you're there, but the connections you make
last a lifetime. |
This is a picture of me with my family at my sister's
graduation last May. Like I said earlier, my sister is now a freshman
here at UNC.
That's my mom on the end with her eyes closed. That must be her
medication again. Just kidding mom.
My dad is a pastor at a church back home. He also has a second
job as a social worker. He also does a pretty good job of telling
me what to do, although he doesn't get paid for that. |
