i found the america dock, quite a peaceful place. twenty percent of it is the original dock that boarded visitors in the 1910s and 1920s until it sank in washington harbor in june 1928. now it's been restored, complete with recycled benches and one of the original lifeboats. enjoy! i think valerie might have taken pictures of brandi with my camera when i wasn't looking, too.
left to right. well, the pictures aren't ready yet, but here's the drawing i made; i found i can't draw water, so hopefully the pictures will do a better job. i don't sketch much, but i hope this is nice to see. oh yeah, check out my MS Paint rendition of the mosquitoes that came out in hordes last night, too...

left to right. (1-5) america dock from almost all angles. (6 & 7) scott & huts moving the big old moose skulls (found that way after a "deadly duel"); was a funny sight to see. (8) brandi after day 1 of boat training in her sailing cap. (9) brandi soon after in chris' mosquito net... so now i see what valerie grabbed my camera for haha!
ahhhhh! it's so nice to come out to mott island sometimes. thursday = ice cream night for the rock harbor folks; ben & i were scooping for all the kids tonight :). the kids, huts and mint chocolate chip guy, that is.
(10) ben and val. (11) me and ben. (12) ben and the guitar. (13) me and some scary-ass look on my face. (14) josh, not with a scary-ass look on his face. (and we're still hanging out at the rec ctr here at mott; brian (from mosquito hatching picture fame) just came in to accompany ben on the guitar. pleasant evening, i've finished my powerpoint for my presentation. ahhhh. no more homework. and it's still nice and bright at 10:07 p.m. and i'm inside; no mosquitoes... enjoy!
