no matter what, i had to stop. since someone (have no clue) decided to rip a bunch of my stickers off this summer, i had to get some more - what better excuse to tool around downtown. well, besides books | coffee | etc.

outside the famous malaprop's - the best independent bookstore i've come across outside chapel hill.
sitting on the bench where i had this view, i was reading my brand new lonely planet guide to finland... and heard a familiar voice - and saw a familiar cute couple... alison & jesse! 4 hours from chapel hill :). chatted 10 minutes or so - they'd just run into another chapel hill friend even. small world, eh>
and i found a new sticker at malaprop's. not as fun as their former one: "independents do it without chains." but shock value's entirely overrated, eh?
well, 'twas a short stopover but i had fun getting some shots of my favourite places - oh yeah, and actually going into them too! if you'd ever want to roadtrip over, do let me know ;)
