'when i die hallelujah, by and by, i'll fly away...'
21.30 EEST; 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time, October 28th, 2003.
the middle of Grace's funeral in Wilmington.

at this time, we paused a game of UNO and turned out the lights so i could sing i'll fly away by candlelight amongst my friends here in rovaniemi. and truly special, i knew it was okay to be in finland - not only was i with my family in spirit (and over the phone) yesterday - but stepping out with friends we saw a beautiful and beaming long stretch of northern lights across the sky. and as the funeral should have ended, they exploded in brightness and started dancing for us. much love, gracie, from uncle collin.

I'll Fly Away

Words & Music: Alfred E. Brumley

Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O glory, I'll fly away;
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I'll fly away.

When the shadows of this life have grown, I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O glory, I'll fly away;
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I'll fly away.

Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away;
To a land where joys shall never end, I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, O glory, I'll fly away;
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I'll fly away.
