SO. apparently i've missed out on the best thing since sliced bread (that's an allusion to a question asked at t.night - not me being cliche) for a few months now; every week hearing about how great trivia night is. and - now i've finally experienced it! and saw "everyone i know" and met some new faces!
and it's held at the wonderful skylight exchange
so basically it's just a time for everyone to hang out, mingle, make 6 person teams and have fun. winners get a round of beer or some such something. 5 rounds; 10 questions per round. our categories: news from this week; food; monsters (the WINDIGO was one of the answers!!!!); video game music clips; and something else i forget oh yeah - people named dave. my group's name came because...
anna and i are getting married! :). i proposed; and as you can see she's happy beyond words with her shiny ... duct tape ... engagement ring ;).
and of course our team name was written with pride on all our sheets:

Well, the "enemy" won the mystery box - box of unknown treats for the team that bought the most food/drinks during the night... and ginger won her new stuffed puppy - leila lola flannery o'connor kelly. :)
Alas, trivia night ended; some other team in the corner won :|; and here's jeremy tabulating scores. but - we had fun all around.

a pleasant day today (the 19th)... just a lazy day; slept in till noon; greeted jessica as she moved into ginger's apartment; met up one last time with amanda; went out to dinner with caroline; one last evening at open eye; and a crowded, cramped, hot, claustrophobic - and in spite of it all, FUN, evening at henry's.
and the camera came with to dinner.

was a sad moment.
but we crossed weaver street and ate at the spotted dog instead :) :) :). fish & chips for me; chicken chews for her. mmmm :). and so it's been a wonderful trip to chapel hill/carrboro. will be home in winston tomorrow and have a pleasant few days with family; celebrating the birthday; visiting my grandmother in s.c. all sorts of stuff; before - there i go again, off to faraway lands. :). iceland on monday; finland on thursday :). i'm quite excited!
