When I'm surfing the web, I might be at one of these sites...

If you are looking for detailed, up-to-date sports coverage, espn.go.com is the place to be. I check it everyday -- usually more than once. You get all the stats, scores and headlines from all the major sports. But, you also get enjoyable in-depth stories from familiar ESPN personalities such as Dick Vitale, Peter Gammons and Dan Patrick.

For insight into the most important sports news -- UNC Basketball -- check out goheels.com. The site may not always have unbiased, professional journalism, but as a Tar Heel fan I enjoy reading articles with a Carolina slant. At goheels.com you can also find updates on UNC football and other sports.

For great news coverage cnn.com is the place to visit. The page is well-organized and very user-friendly. It's easy to find top stories, politcal headlines, business updates or anything else. On this site you will also find superb audio and video clips. The page also includes links to CNN's great sports and global coverage.

UNC's award winning campus newspaper is The Daily Tar Heel, better known as the "DTH." If you can't pick up a copy, check out www.dailtytarheel.com to stay current with what's going on around the world, state, Chapel Hill area and especially the UNC campus. Also, if you're bored, download the crossword puzzle -- class is often a struggle if I don't have my copy!

Another great newspaper, and maybe slighly more well-known, is the New York Times. The online version has all the great news of the print edition... but online the news is free! Also, the online print is larger and easier to read. However, beware -- this crossword is much tougher.
