In my Business Communication class in the fall of 2000, we had imaginary grant money and were to come up with an idea that benefitted UNC students. I proposed establishing a scholarship to study abroad, called the Continental Scholarship. The end product was a written proposal.

During my freshman year I took a typical english course. For the class we wrote many papers. My favorite piece was on the television show that I love so much, Seinfeld.

In the spring of 2000, I took a Feature Writing course. You can see my story on the home of the Tar Heel baseball team, Boshamer Stadium.

In the same Feature Writing course, I wrote a story on "Mama Dip." She is a successful restaurant owner, cookbook authour and local celebrity. Writing this story was lots of fun!
