Kristin is a Ph.D. candidate in geology at the University of Minnesota, Ice Station Zebra. She has a master's in geology from Ohio State.

She was a big-time badass ALL NCAC distance swimmer at the fine College of Wooster, where we met. Since all the water in Minnesota is in a solid form 9 months out of the year, she became an avid cross-country skier shortly after moving here.

In her personal life, she happens to be married to a major loser.
