Trail shot at Moose Fence near Tofte. Base was good on the main trail; there was a light 1-2" snow layer atop that, much of it utterly untracked. What was slightly problematic was the fact that some of the loops we had planned on skiing were either groomed for classical only, or in one case seemed not to have been groomed all season (though they had been skied and would probably have been fine with classic-style baskets on the poles). Very pretty though, and the main track was nice. First hill is quite a workout, as advertised, but on the way back it was essentially all downhill.
