From fall '91 to
spring '95, I went to the fine College
of Wooster. I had a blast--oh, I got a good education too.
I majored in history, and did pretty well. My advisors were Madonna
Hettinger (1991-1993), Daniel Calhoun (junior I.S.), and John Gates (senior
I.S.).
Wooster tasks all seniors (all those interested in graduating, anyway)
with producing a senior Independent Study thesis (IS), a torturous project
that takes most of the year. On the day after spring break,
though, everybody turns their project in--it's IS Day, yay! This
is our little IS Day festival. Otherwise known as "'One Bourbon,
One Scotch, and One Beer' Day." Whee!
Woo '95ers, from left to right: Mike Baas,
Jen Pagano, Paul "Woolybear" Caviglia, Josh Holian (in white behind
bullethead with black shirt) and yours truly (bullethead in black shirt).
In addition to my coursework and after-hours beer-drinking, I wore the Black
and Old Gold for the fearsome Fightin' Scots Swimming and Diving team, the
biggest badasses in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
The most recent Wooster alumni magazine reports that Coach
Keith D. Beckett, Mass-Producer of All-Americans,now has the fine Black
and Gold running on creatine. I have an idea for the
next logical step...
