A one year research project investigating
the repertoire size and geographic variation of Boat-tailed Grackle (Quiscalus
major) song. I compared songs from south Florida, Louisiana,
and South Carolina. I also compared songs from 1946 in Florida with
songs from 1996 at the same site.
For two consecutive years I served
as a field assistant for Dr.
William Searcy and Dr. Steve Nowicki recording and testing song sparrows
(Melospiza melodia) at the Pymatuning Lab of Ecology in Linesville,
PA.
A research project at the
Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology on the predator avoidance behavior of
snails (Planorbella sp. and Physella sp.) from different
natural populations.
