Budapest, Hungary

mark joined us in budapest. the city of budapest was once two cities, buda and pest, that were joined by "the chain bridge" many years ago. our hostel was in pest but most of the notable architecture is in buda. we were unable to visit the communist "statue park", where a replica statue of stalin stands today. the enormous original was torn down in the 50's during a hungarian proletariat revolt. you may remember statue park from the James Bond movie "Golden Eye", where Bond meets with a shady spy at night.
