venezia venice, the city of canals. built on a swampy island, venice has been sinking several inches a year for hundreds of years. there are no streets in central venice, everything and everyone moves by foot or by boat. everything in the city is pretty much built around tourism, whether its venizian glass, leather or carnival masks. |
