I
was born Clifton L. Cheek, April 10, 1981,in Rockingham N.C. to
Lawrence H. Cheek and Cheryle G. Cheek. Two years later I was
unfortunate enough to have a brother. Grayson H. Cheek was born
almost exactly two years after me, April 8, 1983. We four were a
happy young family when on December 22, 1984, the third and most
rambunctious child was born, Baxter C. Cheek. My family moved
from Rockingham N.C. in 1986 to Sunset Beach N.C. My family has
remained in Sunset Beach or surrounding areas ever since 1986. We
have moved six times and lived in seven different houses. I began my
schooling career in 1986 at Union Elementary. I spent four years there
before going to Shallotte Middle School. I attended this school for
grades four through eight. After that, I went to West Brunswick High
School. I worked hard to maintain my 4.23 GPA and participate in up
to four varsity sports my senior year. I played soccer and golf all
four
years and played basketball and football my senior year. After high
school, I was accepted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. I managed for the UNC women's soccer team my feshman
year. Although my studies didn't go very well my freshman year, I had
a great time. My sophomore year was spent cathching up and trying to
raise my GPA. After three major changes, I finally found my niche.
The
School of Journalism and Mass Communication offered the kind of
career I was looking for. I have chosen the visual graphics option,
hoping to one day operate my own company or open a graphic studio. I
have always been really talented with most mediums in art and hope to advance
this talent in my career. At Carolina I have met many different
friends and strengthened old friendships. It is at UNC that I met my
wonderful girlfriend Mathile (Teal) P. Sharman. I also got my dog,
Nemo, during college. He celebrated his first birthday on July 10 and
is as wild and independent as ever. This is a little bit of history
about me. To learn more about my hobbies and favorite Web sites return to
