Union Order of Battle- Battle of Dover (Ft. Donelson)

February 15, 1862 ( Scale 125 men = 1 stand / 5 guns = 1 stand)

Brig. Gen. U.S. Grant (E) - Corps Leader

He misses the morning and arrives at 12:30 at A

1st Division McClernand 2 guns C
	Olgesby 15/13/9
       	Logan 10/8/6
       	WHL Wallace 14/12/8
	Haynie 13/11/8
	Ross 11/9/6
	Powell Cavalry 5/4/3 E

2nd Division C.F. Smith 3 guns A
	Cook 8/7/5
	Woods 8/7/5
	Lauman 10/8/6
	Tuttle 9/8/5
	McArthur 15/13/9	D (detached)
	M.L. Smith 11/9/6 10:30 am
							on lower left road

3rd Division Lew Wallace (E) 1 gun B
	Cruft 12/10/7
	Henry 8/7/5
	Baldwin 11/9/6
	Whittsley 7/6/4
	Thayer 11/9/6
	Steedmen 10/8/6

Special Rules:

The union sets up first.

Only the brigades of Lew Wallace can violate Grant's direct order to stay in place unless directly attacked ( McClernand ). This means that until Grant arrives at A or the CSA is wildly successful, Smith's troops (save McArthur & ML Smith ) are frozen ( a late arriving player ?)

Any CSA units remaining in the trenches can use hidden markers (and dummies) to simulate a true defensive position at the start.

Victory Conditions

The CSA must establish the 2 Roads below Dover and withdraw as many troops by that road while performing a rear guard after taking it or destroy all three US divisions. If Pillow's command makes it out but Buckner and Head are reencircled ( and thus eventually surrendering) the game is a draw. If a significant amount of Buckner's & Pillow's command make it out it is a tactical victory. If Head's brigades make it out as well or the union army is routed it is a decisive CSA victory. Any other condition is a tactical USA victory.
