When users request particular
information from the NCEDA site, they should expect their name and contact
information to be collected and stored.
If a user sends NCEDA e-mail, the message will usually contain the user's
return address. If the user includes personal information in the e-mail,
NCEDA may use that information in responding to the user's request.
E-mail is not necessarily secure or confidential. Send only the information
that is necessary for NCEDA to answer the question or process the request.
While users browse the site the NCEDA operating system will automatically
record the following information:
1. The name of the domain
and IP address from which the user accessed the site;
2. The date and time any page on the site was accessed;
3. The address of the website from which any page on this site was linked;
4. The type of browser and operating system used to access the site.
This tracking system does not record personal information about individuals.
The information is used to monitor traffic and improve the site. For
site security purposes and to ensure that NCEDA's system remains available
to all users, NCEDA's operating system tracks unauthorized attempts
to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
NCEDA's site provides links to other websites. The privacy policies
described here do not apply to any external sites. Users should read
the privacy policies of other sites they visit.
If users have any questions or comments about NCEDA's privacy policy,
please send an email to NCEDApolicy@ncmail.net.
