The Sunflower County Freedom Project is a group of local citizens working together with former Teach for America teachers to improve the educational opportunities in our area.  We are an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the belief that education is the seed of freedom.  Without education, our children will be powerless and isolated in the future, unable to determine the course of their lives.  Due to poverty and isolation, children in Sunflower County are denied the educational opportunities that most Americans take for granted.  Our Freedom Project will provide some of those opportunities.
