General comments:
Web vs. Print Sources
The web provides information that can be viewed rather quickly. One can scroll through the links and click on exactly what they are interested in whereas in dealing with print sources one has to read through the book, magazine, newspaper, etc., to find what they are researching. One can also enter key words dealing with your topic in search engines within theweb which will provide direct access to the topic one is searching for. The web also includes documents having text, graphics, sound, and even video. Most print sources lack the colorful graphics, and definitely the sound and video apects. One can also find everything one needs to know about their topic by using the web whereas in using print sources one may have to go from one location to another and end up having numerous materials in hand. If I personally had a choice between using the web or print sources in gathering more information on my topic, I would without a doubt use the web online. For me, using the web is so much easier and less time consuming. I can go in search for what I am looking for without going from place to place and I can do it all at one time. The web is easy access to a vast amount of information and it cuts a persons time in half. Plus, the information is well organized for the most part and the graphics, sound, and video chararcteristics enhance its content which is more appealing than black and white text and graphics. So, why not use it?
