Synopsis:
As a broadcast of "The Hands of Time" approaches,
Mackie loses his voice due to a crackerjack-related injury. As a
result, there is no one to play the long-awaited mystery man that Elizabeth
Marlowe is slated to meet. Put in a pinch, Betty throws in George
Smith, a struggling black actor. He's a big hit with the listeners,
but trouble insues when the gossip columnists want the scoop on the new
character. Unfortunatly, while the cast recognizes George as a great
actor, the public is not ready for an interracial radio couple. If
the public and the sponsors found out, it could mean big trouble for everyone
at WENN.
