SITE OF THE WEEK

"You can cancel all our programs... but you can never cancel WENN, because the airwaves still belong to the American People!"
- Hilary Booth

Big, big news...

02 March 1999 - A new pick of the week here!

08 February 1999 - A Message from Rupert here and a new pick of the week here!

10 November 1998 - I have started something new - the site of the week.  This will be a site or address we can all focus on and bombard with requests for WENN every week.

21 October 1998 - Finally, an update.  I'm having problems with my ISP but I hope to have some new addresses up soon.  Meanwhile, tvisgood.com devoted their website this week to WENN.  This page was their 'Worthwhile' page of the week, and I'm very honoured.  They're pretty cool folks over there.  Meanwhile, if any of your local media has mentioned the WENN cancellation or this campaign, please email me so I can link to them...

07 October 1998 - Oh, coolness.  Not only have the Viewers for Quality Television officially taken up the fight for our show (see the notice on their website), but we also got mentioned in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  Nifty!  The person at VQT is really nice and assured me that they'll help us out.  With this powerful organisation on board, the fight looks even better!

02 October 1998 - Not sure if this is news, but sorry to Britt for assuming she was a he.  I have corrected my pronouns, but encourage her to be more feminine in her emails from now on :)  I, however, will continue to be male.

02 October 1998 - Linda Young has spoken to Rupert and he is still trying to get AMC to change their minds.  He vows never to 'end' Remember WENN per se, and always leave room for continuation.  So, the man at the top says we need to continue to write AMC... don't let them rest or think we've given up.  Keep sending those letters and they might eventually get the picture.  So, while we should still write other networks we should continue to keep pressure on AMC.

01 October 1998 - I just want to send a shout out to the boss Britt Graves, who right now is the coolest FEMALE PERSON on earth in my book.  She's got some contacts and, if AMC doesn't play ball by our rules, over 250,000 folks will be getting TCM over cable instead of AMC!!! HAHAHA!!! Also props to Rebecca Immich for her daily harassing calls to AMC :)  Rebecca, rumour has it, is also female.

30 September 1998 - I got email from the very cool Rob Owen (the first media guy to pick up on this, see his article here).  Anyway, here's an excerpt of what he had to say:

"It may cheer you to know that I got an e-mail from Rupert Holmes today, saying he'll get in touch with me when he finishes his "Goosebumps" project to discuss 'WENN' and "what might happen next, following what I believe is merely a brief interlude in the life of this giddy, good-hearted series.  I am devoted to the show, its story, its stellar cast and its sterling audience." So perhaps there is reason for hope. I'll continue to follow the story on "WENN" as best as I can."
Don't ya just want to hug the guy?
