Tishan Williams

Tishan Williams, graduate student, is an X-ray crystallographer. She graduated in 2007 from Amherst College, and worked for two years in a lab at Columbia University.  Her dissertation project entails solving the crystal structure of the human mitochondrial tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase. This will complete the structures necessary for a full evaluation of TrpRS inhibitors as potential leads for designing antimicrobial drugs based on selection inhibition of microbial TrpRSs.
