Combining Sentence This activity will help you reinforce the relationship between sentences. (Another option when repeating a key word seems redundant)

comma semicolon conjunctive adverb (see chart below)
Chart: The first column designates the relationship that the second independent clause has to the first independent clause. (see H & L 298-99)You will usually need a semicolon before and a comma after the conjunctive adverb!
