I have now retired from UNC-Chapel Hill, after 25 thoroughly enjoyable years. You can find me and my family in Cambridge in the U.K., where I have two ventures underway to help communities and nations move forward towards sustainability and reduction of the threat of climate change:
- I have joined Pell Frischmann, a large environmental consultancy in London, as their Senior Sustainability Advisor. My role is to bring sustainability to projects in all aspects of the built environment throughout the U.K. and abroad.
- I have also joined with friends here in Cambridge to launch EnviroTech, a business-to-business support network dedicated to bringing innovative energy and environmental technologies into the market.

While I have left UNC-Chapel Hill, the Institute for the Environment and the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, I continue to find the campus environmental community of faculty, students and staff to be amongst the best environmental programs in the world. The Institute is under exciting new leadership in Dr. Larry Band. I highly recommend both the Institute and the participating departments, curricula and research centers as the home of some of the most exciting and advanced study of the environment and sustainability.
