02/04/15: The papers to read for tomorrow are Gilleskie (1998) and Cronin (2014),
found here .
Keane (2010) is also a good one for understanding the difference between atheoretical empirical work and structural empirical work.
01/27/15: Augh! Not only did I NOT get to finite mixture models, but I didn't hand back your Homework #1. Sorry!
We will quickly go through FMM and then start on Grossman's model of the demand for health on Thursday.
01/16/15: A good summary paper about the Oregon Health Insurance experiment can be found
01/09/15: I got a great update (2011 data) on some of the graphs we discussed in class yesterday.
Check out: this .
Or take a look at the older version (2009 data) here ,
which I like a little better simply because the titles are more objective and allow the reader to draw relevant conclusions. In other words,
I don't want the message in the titles to be all that you take away from the information.
01/08/15: Welcome to Econ 850!
01/08/15: Please complete Homework #1 by Jan 22, 2015.
