About Me
In the fall of 2008 I began graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill in David Pfennig’s lab. My interests mostly fall into the categories of evolutionary ecology, community ecology, and animal behavior. Currently I study the evolution of Batesian mimicry, a problem which draws upon all of the above topics.
Previous projects that I’ve worked on and/or topics I’ve been interested in include: pollen dispersal, sex ratio modification in birds, migratory patterns of hawks, and particularly, the community ecology of birds in the Neotropics. Outside of science, I fill my time with running, and reading whatever people throw my way. I am from Chicago, did my undergrad at the University of Illinois, and will always root for the Bears.
