Dreaming Fish
Dreaming Fish was the famous San Francisco-area band fronted by Desmond Mullen and Helena Knego. The touring band included Dave Hermocillo on bass (now with Atomic Mint - there's some press here) and Mike Lawrence on drums (currently in the drum program at Berklee College of Music).
 

The Dreaming Fish 4-Track Demos
These 8 songs were recorded on two days, one in mid-March 1999 a couple days before the due-date of our first kid and the other day in mid-September 1999 when Desmond slapped down some quick ideas on bass and drums - each in one take. These recordings are "demos" - they are not finished products for public consumption but rather demonstrations of songs for other musicians to hear. There are background vocal parts that never got recorded, but otherwise these songs are complete. Excuses: I was just learning to play drums at the time, and I recorded this on an electronic kit (note the evil cymbal sounds).

Recording
The guitar and vocal tracks were recorded at Dreaming Fish's rehearsal studio on a nice Tascam reel-to-reel in March 1999. The bass and drums were recorded at Desmond and Helena's apartment on an old Tascam Portastudio 246 in September 1999.
