Blog Assignment Week 7

I know that all of you are breathing a sigh of relief over the fact that you are done with unit 1, but for one of your posts this week I would like you revisit your work for the unit one more time and do a bit of self-evaluation. Please post more than "I thought my work was okay" or "my portfolio sucked;" try to really analyze your performance in the first part of this class, referring to the grading rubric for unit 1 if need be. Also, I would like you to set at least one goal for yourself for your work in unit 2 and outline your plans for achieving that goal.

Secondly, I would like each of you to give a brief account of your public speaking experience. Even if you haven't delivered a speech in front of a group of hundreds or thousands of people, I'm sure that each of you has had to read in front of a class or speak in front of some type of smaller group. In addition to relating your experience, reflect on your strengths and weaknesses as a speaker.

These assignments should be posted to your blogs by class time on Tuesday, October 12.
