This had to be one of the most excrutiating things I've done in a while!!!
The number of shots per ten second intervals sometimes exceeded 10, that means one shot per second, if my counting was anywhere accurate.
About a minute into this exercise, I recruited some help because I just could not keep up. And even with the help of another person, we were not able to count.
This really surprised me. I had never thought to look at television in this way. They really bombard you with images at a really high speed. Granted, the program I chose was a cartoon, but I've been noticing on other current programs that the time of shots is quite short. On the other hand, on older series like M*A*S*H*, the time of each shot is longer, with more focus on groups of people talking, instead of on one person.
