Shawn Jones awarded APAGS Scholarship
In July 2011, Shawn Jones was named the 2011 winner of the Nancy B. Forest and L. Michael Honaker Master’s Scholarship for Research in Psychology. The award, sponsored by the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS), is a $1,500 award that funds thesis research in the field of psychology at the Master’s level. APAGS noted that Jones was selected “after the careful and difficult review of a large number of impressive applications for this highly competitive scholarship.” Congratulations Shawn!
William T. Grant Foundation announces 2011 Scholars Award Finalists
In December 2010, Dr. Neblett was recognized as 1 of 11 finalists for the 2011 William T. Grant Scholars Program. This program supports early-career researchers who show great promise for advancing their respective fields in significant ways.
Neblett receives grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Psychologist Enrique Neblett has received a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant to examine the effectiveness of youth mentoring on improving African American and Latino males’ health and social outcomes.
Enrique Neblett receives Psychology Club Award
In 2010, Enrique Neblett was selected for the Psychology Club’s Faculty Research Mentor Award. This award recognizes excellence in undergraduate research mentoring.
