Selected Writings by Veronica Morris

These papers may be used as sources for academic work, but I would appreciate an email stating which paper you plan on using and how I can see a copy of your final product.  I expect everyone to follow the UNC-CH honor code, which I interpret to mean that one will not plagiarize these works, any use of these works will be properly cited, and my contact information will be included in the bibliography.  Here is an excerpt from http://www.law.unc.edu/academics/curriculum/honor.html stating one of the student's responsibilites under the honor code:

To consult with faculty and other sources to clarify the meaning of plagiarism; to learn the recognized techniques of proper attribution of sources used in the preparation of written work; and to identify allowable resource materials or aids to be used during examination or in completion of any graded work.

Living Well Self-Evaluation-- This is a write up of the Living Well floor at UNC-CH for the 2000-2001 school year.

The Distribution of Drosera rotundifolia and Drosera intermedia-- I wrote this paper for my Biology 143 class on Plant Biogeography.  It is rather interesting, but the distribution maps are held by my professor Dr. Peet.

Although I didn't actually write this one (my dad is the author) I thought this story was funny enough to share!

Society as Portrayed by The Letters of Abelard and Heloise-- A discussion of virginity, sex, punishment and a womanís role in society in the collection.

I think the title to this one says it all-- Love and Duty to the ìVoice of Godî in Homerís Odyssey, Virgilís Aeneid, and Todayís Society

I wrote this paper for my Communications class-- Assessing Empathy in Friendship

Another Communications paper with lots of psychology involved-- Contradictions, Narrative and the Ritual Approach in Warshowís ìThe Gangster as Tragic Heroî

How cool is a class where you get to read The Lord of the Rings?  Well, I got to take one, and here is a paper I wrote for it-- Gollum in J.R.R. Tolkienís The Lord of the Rings

Another paper for that class-- Health, Happiness and Their Relationships to Tolkienís Hobbit and Homerís Odyssey

Human Sexuality in Platonic and Christian Thought-- An interesting paper!

This is a paper I wrote for a class called "The Romans".  It is about Julia, Ceasar Augustus' daughter and it is called Julia and Traditional Roman Values.

Our class project on Autogyros.

If you want to learn more about how well I listen, Assessing My Listening Responses is the paper for you.  I wrote it for my Communications 22 class.

Here are some of my poems.  I wrote most of these for a poetry writing class I took as a Freshman.

Power, Institutions, and Habits in Quiet Rage: The Stanford Prison Study-- this is an interesting look into the Stanford Prison Study conducted by Dr. Zimbardo.  I wrote this for Comm 10.

A brief overview of Lysistrata written for my Drama 15 class.
